Five-year surrender — a short FIA commitment window relative to the 10- and 14-year filings elsewhere in this carrier's lineup, so principal is locked for a relatively short horizon.
Strategy design is model-blend rather than cap-on-an-index — the buyer picks among packaged allocations (Model Blend A/B/C/D) instead of building from individual index caps and participation rates, which simplifies the decision for buyers who do not want to manage strategy selection year-by-year.
Published annual free-withdrawal allowance is shown on the page alongside the five-year surrender ladder, so penalty-free liquidity is explicit.
Carrier financial-strength is rated by more than one agency on this page, so the strength view is not a single-source read.
What to confirm
This contract is NOT a guaranteed-lifetime-withdrawal product. The income-rider list on the live feed is empty and there is no PIV income mechanism — do not compare its lifetime-payout potential side-by-side with rider-led income FIAs.
The strategy menu does NOT publish cap rates, participation rates, or fixed-rate triggers on the model blends themselves. Buyers cannot do a like-for-like 'best S&P 500 cap' comparison against other FIAs on this product — the only quantifiable rate published is the fixed account rate. Read the carrier brochure for the specific composition and historical behavior of each Model Blend before electing one.
There is no premium bonus and no death-benefit roll-up on this filing — the death benefit is the standard accumulation contract value.
The guaranteed-minimum interest-rate floor on this contract is set higher than the strategy-guarantee floor published on many other FIAs in this carrier's lineup — modestly favorable for downside protection but not directly comparable to a cap-led product.
Not ideal for
Buyers who want to compare individual S&P 500 caps and participation rates head-to-head against other FIAs, need a GLWB income rider, expect a premium bonus or a death-benefit roll-up, or want a longer rate-lock window than five years.

Income riders
Accumulation-focused — no income rider
This contract is designed for tax-deferred accumulation, not guaranteed lifetime income. No GLWB rider was returned because none is part of the contract design — compare against other accumulation FIAs on cap, participation rate, and surrender terms rather than lifetime income.
Common questions about NAC Guaranteed Allocation
● Can I lose money in NAC Guaranteed Allocation?
A negative index return by itself does not reduce the contract's account value: NAC Guaranteed Allocation credits 0% — the floor — for that indexed period. The account value can still decrease from applicable rider fees, Performance Rate Rider or other strategy charges, administrative charges, withdrawals, surrender charges, or other contract-specific deductions. In years with no credited interest, those deductions can reduce the account value. Up to 10% of your value can be withdrawn each year without a charge; withdrawals above the penalty-free amount during the surrender period can incur a surrender charge.
● When can I access my money without a surrender charge?
Up to 10% of your account value each year is penalty-free. The surrender period runs 5 years; after that you reach full liquidity. The Liquidity tab of the analyzer shows the year-by-year surrender charge.
● How do NAC Guaranteed Allocation's crediting strategies compare?
Use "Compare against" in the analyzer to overlay another current NAC Guaranteed Allocation strategy on the same premium, age, years, and hypothetical index path. The control labels the strategy type, rate, index, and context so caps, participation rates, triggers, spreads, and fixed-account choices are not treated as interchangeable.

How the interest-crediting choices are framed
NAC Guaranteed Allocation currently shows 24 distinct indexed or fixed crediting choices across 57 current rate listings, including S&P 500 Index, with 10 volatility-controlled index options grouped separately. These choices matter because caps, participation rates, fixed accounts, spreads, renewal terms, and fee-bearing rider variants are different mechanics and should not be ranked as one simple rate list.

Why access rules deserve as much attention as rates
A fixed indexed annuity can preserve more control than an income-only contract, but access is still governed by the surrender schedule, free-withdrawal terms, and waiver language. Those details are where many product comparisons become more meaningful than a simple rate list.
