Is an FIA cap the same as a MYGA guaranteed rate?
No. A MYGA rate is guaranteed for its stated term, while an FIA cap limits potential index-linked interest crediting and can change.

See how current MYGA guaranteed rates vary by term, then examine separate FIA cap, participation, and verified income-withdrawal cohorts. These percentages describe different contract mechanics and are never treated as comparable returns.

Source. Every displayed market value comes from CANNEX via AdvisorWorld through AnnuityRatesHQ’s cached, timeout-protected public data boundary. Premium, state, age, and deferral are the user’s hypothetical inputs.
Cadence and freshness. Live reads revalidate on a regular cache cadence. The visible date comes only from the upstream sync_log; render times, capture timestamps, and carrier effective dates are never substituted.
Formula. Each metric is normalized, deduplicated inside a like-for-like cohort, sorted high to low, and limited to up to ten leading eligible observations. The median is the middle value, or the mean of the two middle values for an even sample. “Range” means the low-to-high span inside that leading sample—not a promised marketwide range.
Integrity. Product family is verified before FIA plausibility rules run. MYGA best-rate figures must remain inside 2%–9%. Implausible values and family mismatches are quarantined with a [rate-integrity] signal. Verified sentinel values render as “Uncapped,” never as 999%.
Metric boundaries. MYGA guaranteed rates, FIA caps, FIA participation rates, and FIA lifetime withdrawal rates remain separate. None is converted into or described as a generic return.
Permanent statistics. Cite the statistics hub’s dated 5-year MYGA top-rate statistic, annual S&P 500 FIA cap statistic, or annual S&P 500 FIA participation statistic when those metrics match the figure being discussed. The tool does not borrow a different hub statistic for FIA income.

Questions about the benchmarks
No. A MYGA rate is guaranteed for its stated term, while an FIA cap limits potential index-linked interest crediting and can change.
It is the range among up to ten verified leading FIA lifetime-withdrawal-rate rows for the selected state, age, and hypothetical deferral. It is not a yield or marketwide distribution.
