Five-year surrender ladder pairs a full crediting menu with the shortest commitment in the Eagle Select family — Select Focus 7 doubles the surrender term but offers the same indexes, so a buyer who wants the broader index menu but a shorter lockup can pick the five-year filing without giving up crediting choice.
Three crediting designs are offered on the S&P 500 alone — annual point-to-point cap, participation rate, and a fixed-rate trigger — and the S&P 500 cap is offered in both one-year and multi-year crediting-term variants, so a buyer who wants S&P 500 exposure can pick the mechanic and the crediting horizon that best fit their view of the index.
Two named surrender-charge waivers (nursing home and terminal illness) plus an annual free-withdrawal allowance are published on the contract — that's named exits for two specific life events on top of the standard penalty-free liquidity, all visible on the page rather than gated behind a brochure.

What to confirm

This contract is not a guaranteed-lifetime-withdrawal product. Their participation rates can look high in absolute terms but are not directly comparable to an S&P 500 annual cap — evaluate each on its own historical and forward characteristics rather than the participation number alone. The contract's guaranteed-minimum cap and declared-rate floors are also at the low end, so caps can renew down toward those floors over the five-year surrender term and the buyer carries that renewal risk for the full term.
