Withdrawals exceeding the 10% annual free-withdrawal limit—or full surrender during the guarantee period—are subject to surrender charges and may also incur an MVA. Charges decrease each year until reaching 0% at the end of the term. All funds become fully penalty-free at the end of the guarantee period or during the 30-day renewal window.

Heritage Builder is a Single Premium Deferred Annuity (SPDA) that locks in a fixed interest rate for the full 3-, 5-, or 7-year guarantee period. The owner makes a one-time premium deposit, and interest accumulates tax-deferred for the duration of the selected term.  After the first contract year, policyholders may withdraw up to 10% of the account value annually without surrender charges or MVA. Additional withdrawals may incur surrender charges according to the tiered schedule shown later.  The contract also includes a nursing-home withdrawal option of up to 50% of the account value, subject to eligibility requirements.

At the end of each guarantee period, the Heritage Builder Annuity enters a 30-day renewal window during which the owner may:

• Renew the contract for the same term at the declared renewal rate

• Surrender the policy without surrender charges or MVA

• Transition to another available guarantee period

• Apply the account value to a settlement option

• Take a partial penalty-free withdrawal and renew the remainder


If no election is made, the contract automatically renews for the same term at the then-current renewal rate.

Even with a negative Market Value Adjustment, you will never receive less than the Guaranteed Minimum Cash Value.
