Withdrawals above the Free Withdrawal Amount and full surrenders made during the initial Guarantee Period will be subject to a surrender charge and a Market Value Adjustment (MVA). These charges and adjustments may reduce previously credited interest and may reduce principal. During the 30-day Window Period following the end of the Guarantee Period, you may withdraw or surrender without a surrender charge or MVA. Surrender charges and MVA are also waived upon the owner’s death.

If the owner dies before annuitization, beneficiaries receive the full contract value in a lump sum, unaffected by surrender charges or MVA. After annuitization, remaining benefits follow the elected payout option.

Charges decline each year until reaching 0% at the end of the term. All funds become fully penalty-free at the end of the guarantee period or during the 30-day renewal window. New York uses the standard surrender-charge schedule for the 5-year MYAnnuity design.

At the end of the 5-year guarantee period, the contract enters a 30-day renewal window during which the owner may renew the contract for the same term at the declared renewal rate, surrender the policy without any surrender charges or MVA, apply the contract value to an available settlement option, select a different guarantee period (if offered), or take a partial penalty-free withdrawal and renew the remaining value into a new term. If no election is made during this window, the contract automatically renews for the same guarantee period at the then-current renewal rate.
