Nonqualified, IRA, SEP-IRA (rollover/transfers), and Roth IRA

During the selected guarantee period, withdrawals above the free allowance (generally 10% annually after year one) are subject to surrender charges and a market value adjustment (MVA). Surrender charges decline annually—for example, 8% in year one to 2% by year seven for the 7-year option. The MVA may increase or decrease the withdrawal amount based on interest rate changes. Waivers are available for qualifying nursing home confinement or terminal illness. Withdrawals may be subject to ordinary income tax, and if taken before age 59½, a 10% IRS penalty may also apply.

At the end of any guarantee period, you have the option to start a new one with a new guaranteed interest rate. Electing a new multi-year period will also reset the surrender period as applicable. An option for a 1-year period will be available upon renewal and is the default option if you do not make an election. Surrender charges do not apply to any withdrawals during a 1-year guarantee period.

Delaware Life TruSelect® MYGA offers surrender charge schedules based on the selected guarantee period of 3, 5, or 7 years. These charges apply if you withdraw more than the allowed free withdrawal amount during the surrender charge period.

TruSelect® allows free withdrawals up to 5% of total premium in the first year and 10% of the prior contract anniversary value in subsequent years, or the RMD if greater. Withdrawals above these limits during the surrender charge period incur surrender charges starting at 8% and decreasing annually—down to 0% after year 3, 5, or 7, depending on the term. A market value adjustment (MVA) also applies to excess withdrawals and can increase or decrease the withdrawal amount based on interest rate conditions. Surrender charges and the MVA are waived in the event of death, terminal illness, or qualifying nursing home confinement. Withdrawals before age 59½ may be subject to a 10% federal tax penalty.

Nonqualified and qualified IRA, SEP-IRA and Roth IRA

After the first contract year, Pinnacle Plus℠ allows annual withdrawals of up to 10% of the account value or the required minimum distribution (RMD) without penalty. Withdrawals exceeding this free limit are subject to surrender charges that start at 8% in year one and gradually decrease—down to 0.5% by year 10 for the longest term. A market value adjustment (MVA) may also apply to excess withdrawals during the guarantee period, based on prevailing interest rates. Surrender charges and the MVA are waived for qualifying nursing home or terminal illness claims, and early withdrawals before age 59½ may incur a 10% IRS penalty in addition to income taxes.

The product allows a 30-day window before the end of the guarantee period during which withdrawals may be made without surrender charges or MVA.

If you choose more than one guarantee period, each guarantee term renews when its term ends. At that time, you may choose a new guarantee period for that bucket.
