Surrender charges apply to withdrawals or contract surrenders during the guarantee period and decrease over time. The charge schedule is based on the selected term: for the 3-year term, the charges are 8%, 8%, 7%; for the 5-year term, 8%, 8%, 7%, 6%, 5%; and for the 7-year term, 8%, 8%, 7%, 6%, 5%, 4%, 3%. After the surrender charge period ends, no surrender charges apply.
