Surrender charges apply to withdrawals above the free withdrawal amount during the surrender charge period and are calculated as a percentage of the Account Value. The rate declines over time depending on the guarantee period selected. For example, the 5-Year option has surrender charges of 9%, 8%, 7%, 6%, and 5% respectively by contract year. No surrender charge or MVA applies to funds allocated to the Annual Interest Renewal Account or if qualified under a waiver for terminal illness or nursing home confinement. MVA may also apply depending on interest rate movements at the time of withdrawal. Florida contracts have specific restrictions limiting allocation to a maximum of two successive Guarantee Periods totaling no more than 10 years.

The Advanced Choice annuity contract is issued as a single premium product, meaning only one initial premium is permitted. It can be purchased as a qualified or non-qualified plan, including IRA, Roth IRA, SEP-IRA, or 403(b) rollover. After the end of each selected guarantee period, clients are provided a 30-day window during which they may reallocate funds to a new term, make withdrawals, or roll over into the Annual Interest Renewal Account. The policy includes a Market Value Adjustment (MVA) for early withdrawals, a standard death benefit equal to the full account value, and waivers for qualifying health events. Product availability and certain features may vary by state.
