If, before the surrender-charge period ends, the owner surrenders the annuity or takes withdrawals in excess of any free amount, a surrender charge may apply and reduce the amount received. A Market Value Adjustment (MVA) may also apply to surrenders or excess withdrawals depending on market interest rate conditions.

Terminal Illness Rider and Nursing Home Rider.

Equal to the Accumulation Value at time of death plus any positive MVA, less any applicable surrender charges. The Death Benefit is not reduced by a negative MVA. (Payable at the death of the owner; if the owner is a non-natural person, payable at the death of the annuitant.)

 Surrender Charges and MVA will be waived if the owner becomes confined to a nursing home for at least 90 consecutive days and the contract is at least 90 days old (and confinement is for related causes).

 Surrender Charges and MVA will be waived if the owner is diagnosed with a terminal illness and is not expected to live more than 12 months, and the contract is at least 90 days old.

The brochure states that if the contract is renewed for an additional term, partial withdrawals up to 10% of the Accumulation Value may be taken each year without incurring surrender charges or MVA.

Excelera Plus MYGIA consists of the base Excelera MYGA contract with the MYGIA Rider attached, which modifies how the Accumulation Value may be calculated at the end of the term by potentially reflecting indexed interest credits based on S&P 500® performance. The guaranteed fixed interest rate and guaranteed participation rate are set at contract issue and guaranteed for the initial guarantee period (3, 5, or 7 years).

Excelera Plus can be renewed for one additional term. Fixed interest rates and indexed participation rates may change at renewal. No renewals are allowed at the end of the second Multi Year Guarantee Period, and the Best Interest Crediting Option will no longer be available.

Surrenders and withdrawals in excess of any free amount may be subject to surrender charges and a Market Value Adjustment (MVA). The brochure also states the cash surrender value will never be less than the Guaranteed Minimum Cash Surrender Value.

 Multi Year Guarantee Index Annuity (MYGIA) is a single-premium deferred annuity that combines a guaranteed fixed interest rate with an index-linked interest opportunity through Revol One’s “Best Interest Crediting” feature. At the end of the selected Multi Year Guarantee Period (3, 5, or 7 years), the contract’s end-of-term value is based on the greater of a guaranteed fixed-rate accumulation value or an index-linked accumulation value tied to the S&P 500® (subject to participation rates and contract terms). It is designed for clients who want principal protection and tax-deferred growth, with the potential to credit more interest than the guaranteed rate if index performance is favorable.

Withdrawals exceeding the free amount (if available) or a full surrender during the surrender charge period are subject to surrender charges and may also incur an MVA. The Excelera MYGA includes an MVA that applies only when surrender charges apply; the MVA may be positive or negative depending on certain market interest rates and can increase or decrease the amount received. Surrender charges decline by policy year until they reach 0% at the end of the term, and all funds become penalty-free during the 30-day window at the end of the guarantee period. California uses a separate surrender-charge schedule. 

If the owner dies before annuitization, beneficiaries receive the Accumulation Value at time of death plus any positive MVA. Surrender charges do not apply to death benefits paid, and the death benefit will not be reduced by any negative MVA.

 Surrender charges and MVA will be waived if the contract owner becomes confined to a nursing home for at least 90 consecutive days on or after the contract date, or is confined for a total of at least 90 days with no more than a 6-month break for related causes (state variations may apply).  

 Surrender charges and MVA will be waived if the contract owner becomes terminally ill or injured and is not expected to live more than 12 months (state variations may apply). 

Free partial withdrawals are available only if the contract is renewed for a second term. In that case, free partial withdrawals up to 10% of the Accumulation Value may be taken each year without incurring surrender charges (and per product highlights, without surrender charges; the brochure ties “free partial withdrawals” to renewal for a second term). IRS Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) can be taken without incurring a surrender charge.

Excelera MYGA™ is a Single Premium Deferred Annuity (SPDA) issued by Revol One Insurance Company that credits a guaranteed fixed interest rate for the duration of the chosen guarantee period (3, 5, or 7 years). The owner makes a one-time premium payment and interest grows tax-deferred throughout the term. Withdrawals in excess of the free amount (if available) or full surrenders during the surrender-charge period may be subject to surrender charges and a Market Value Adjustment (MVA). At the end of the guarantee period, a 30-day window provides an opportunity to renew, surrender, or make changes without surrender charges. 

There are no surrender charges during the first 30 days beginning immediately at the end of the initial guarantee period or any subsequent guarantee periods. If the contract owner does not make an election, the contract will renew for the same guarantee period at a rate set at the time of renewal and a new surrender charge period will start. California only: if no election is made, the contract renews in one-year terms with no surrender charges or MVA applied, and the accumulation value earns daily fixed interest at an annually declared rate.

The Cash Surrender Value will never be less than the Guaranteed Minimum Cash Surrender Value (the brochure explains that even when surrender charges and a negative MVA apply, the cash surrender value has a guaranteed floor).

If you surrender your contract or take withdrawals above the allowed free withdrawal amount during the surrender period, surrender charges and Market Value Adjustments (MVA) may apply. The surrender charge starts at 9% and declines each year based on the guarantee term. An MVA may either increase or decrease your cash value depending on market interest rate conditions at the time of withdrawal. These charges reset with any renewal, except during a 30-day window at the end of the term where full access is granted without penalty.

Free Partial Surrender Rider, Enhanced Death Benefit Rider (automatically includes Terminal Illness and Nursing Home Riders).

If the owner dies before annuitization, beneficiaries receive a death benefit equal to the Cash Surrender Value (or Guaranteed Minimum Cash Surrender Value if greater). An optional Enhanced Death Benefit Rider increases the death benefit to the Accumulation Value (or Guaranteed Minimum Cash Surrender Value if greater) and provides a waiver of surrender charges and MVA upon payment of the death benefit.

At the end of the initial guarantee period, the owner may select a new guarantee period (equal to the original term or a different available term), or elect daily fixed interest credited at a rate declared annually with no surrender charges or MVA. The contract also provides that no surrender charges apply during the first 30 days of a subsequent guarantee period renewal.

The surrender value equals the Cash Surrender Value as defined in the contract and reflects the effect of any applicable surrender charges and MVA when a surrender charge applies, but will not be less than the Guaranteed Minimum Cash Surrender Value.
