At the time of initial purchase, the annuity includes a declining surrender charge schedule matching the maturity period selected. For example, a 5-year maturity period will carry charges of 7%, 7%, 7%, 6%, and 5% for each respective year. Upon renewal, the surrender charges are lower, beginning at 6% and declining annually. There are no surrender charges applied to the One-Year Guaranteed Interest Period. A 10% Free Withdrawal Amount is available each year, and surrender charges only apply to withdrawals exceeding that threshold. These charges are designed to discourage premature withdrawals and ensure commitment to the selected investment period.

Prior to annuitization, the annuity’s death benefit equals the annuity’s accumulation value on the day we receive proof of the death of any owner on the contract, less annuity taxes, if any. The death benefit will be free of any surrender charge.

You may access the 10% Free Withdrawal Amount. During the first contract year, this equals 10% of the premium used to purchase the annuity. Thereafter, the Free Withdrawal Amount is based on the contract’s Accumulation Value in effect on the later of the first day of the current Guaranteed Interest Period or an anniversary of that date. The 10% FWA is non-cumulative.

Guardian Fixed Target AnnuitySM is a single premium fixed annuity offering guaranteed interest periods of 3 to 10 years (availability may vary). The annuity ensures the protection of your principal investment and predictable returns, unaffected by market conditions. After the selected maturity period, policyholders can renew their annuity into a new interest period or the default one-year period, with the potential for liquidity and continued tax-deferred growth. Additional features include a spousal continuation option, a 10% annual free withdrawal, and guaranteed death benefits without surrender charges.

At maturity, you may renew 100% of your annuity’s accumulation value into the same option or into any available Guaranteed Interest Period. You may also transfer it to the One-Year Guaranteed Interest Period (default option). Upon renewal into any Guaranteed Interest Period other than the One-Year, a new surrender charge schedule begins on the first day of renewal.

The accumulation value minus any applicable surrender charges and annuity taxes.
